HOW TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION

 HOW TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION

Depression is the state of feeling low, dejected, worthless and awful about one's condition which may lead one to hurt oneself if not checked.

The rate of suicide every day has gone up in recent days as a result of depression, especially amongst youths and teenagers.

Depression is caused by so many factors ranging from relationship issues, finance, academics, social to economic issues.

The good news is that there is light at the end of this tunnel, depression can be overcome.

Are you depressed? If you want to overcome depression, I believe the tips below can help you out.

Steps on overcoming Depression

Talk about it:

It is said that a problem shared is half solved. Hey before you think about killing yourself, find someone you can trust and confide in. You may never tell who would have the answer to the problems you have.

As much as we encourage you to talk about it, it is also important you check the person you are talking to , to be some

one who is capable of giving you a

Solution to solve your issue or calm yourself down.

Suicide is not an option:

You must also understand that suicide is never an option, no problem is solved by committing suicide. In fact suicide is simply creating more problems for your loved ones. Have you ever imagined how your loved ones would feel, if you commit suicide? The pain and betrayal they would feel? Hey! Drop that knife, that is not the solution to your problem, it is even more problems for you and your loved ones.

Decide to be Happy;

Happiness is a choice, you are responsible for that choice. Take charge of your happiness, make yourself  happy, no one can make you happier than you want to be. Remember a living dog is better than a dead lion.

Learn from your troubles

Every trouble comes with a lesson, now that you have overcome your troubles, learn from them. There is always a lesson to learn. Know what you should do better, examine what you shouldn't do and decide to make it right always.

Remember life itself is a lesson, keep learning everyday as you live.
